Complaint Against
PaytmI activated Paytm Postpaid thinking it was a 'buy now, pay later' service with no interest if paid on time. I made purchases totaling Rs. 15,000 over a month.
When the bill came, there was a Rs. 5,000 interest charge on top. Apparently, the 'no interest' only applies to the first month and after that it\'s 2-3% per month which is 24-36% annually.
This was never clearly communicated during activation. The small print is buried in terms & conditions. This predatory lending practice targets young consumers who don\'t read fine print.
I want the interest charges reversed and clear disclosure of interest rates upfront.
