Under Review High Priority RC-2026-000008

HDFC Bank has been deducting charges from my savings account that were never disclosed at the time of account opening. Over the last 6 months, I have been charged:

- SMS alert charges: Rs. 75/quarter (was told it\'s free)
- Non-maintenance charges: Rs. 600 (my balance was above minimum for 5 of 6 months)
- Debit card annual fee: Rs. 500 (was told first year free)
- Cheque book charges: Rs. 150 (never ordered cheque book)

Total hidden charges: Rs. 2,400

When I visited the branch, they said these are 'standard charges' and pointed to a 100-page terms document. The relationship manager who opened my account clearly told me there would be no charges if I maintain Rs. 10,000 balance.

I want a full reversal of all wrongly deducted charges and clear disclosure of all applicable fees.
